25 Famous Unmarried Women Who Proved You Don’t Need A Husband To Be Happy.

As a child growing up, it’s instilled on us that the path to take in life is to grow up, get a good education, a good job, and then get married and have kids. That’s all fine and well for those that believe that and want to follow that path in life. However, there are plenty that don’t agree with that and just go their own way. They might even become involved in a very long term relationship but never take the steps to make it an official marriage.

Today we will take a look at some very famous women who never got married.

#1. Charlize Theron

Charlize will be starring in the latest version of the "Fast and Furious" franchise this week, "Fast 8." She has been in long term relationships before, but isn't concerned with the actual marriage part. She told CNN, “I really want for myself a long-term relationship. I have been in long-term relationships…The actual ceremony is not important to me, but I see the importance for other people.”

Mendes said "I'm not like anti-marriage or the institution, like for other people. And I love the idea of a union -- that's all very beautiful. But I think, you know, it's a very old fashioned, archaic kind of thing. We did it for land originally. How unromantic is that?"

Handler happily replied "Well actually, if we were doing it for land now, I'd probably be more interested."

Mendes added, "I actually think it's really sexy to be with someone in your fifties and sixties and be like, 'That's my boyfriend'. I think husband and wife is just… very unsexy."
