She Started With An Old Shed, What She Ended Up With… NO WAY!
DIY and upcycling culture is all about taking something old and making it new again, using as little money and as much elbow grease as possible. This DIY project certainly exemplifies those values: The builder took an old, run down storage shed and actually turned it into a home.
She started with an 18-year-old shed, which looked like it was about to fall apart. Instead of leaving it for the birds, she revamped the entire place on a shoestring budget, including finding secondhand furniture and plenty of shabby chic charm. Check out her transformative project below -- proof that with a little time and effort, anything is possible.
In just 62 days time, they transformed this shed into something amazing.
Can you believe that this is actually the same property, simply upgraded with a bunch of DIY projects?
Everything on the inside was furnished cheaply, accruing things from Craigslist, Habitat Restore, and other secondhand shops.
She even has a fireplace, complete with electric fire logs.
The cabinets were made from a repurposed bathroom vanity, and most of the cabinetry was free.
An entry table from Craigslist, bough for a whopping $35, turned into the bathroom vanity with a vessel sink.
Antique beds from a family member definitely fit in with the country, shabby-chic look of the property.
As do the antique dressers.
The view from the back is lovely as well. It's hard to believe that this storage container could turn into such an amazing little home.
