He Traveled To The EXACT Same Places As His Grandparents, The Photos Brought A Lump To My Throat.

Christian Carollo is a photographer and traveler with a unique goal for his adventures: He recreates one of his grandfather's vintage photographs everywhere he goes.

He's calling it the Past Present Project, and it began in 2012 when he discovered a box of his grandfather's old slides. After recreating a shot of the Oregon Coast, he realized he could do this with all of his grandfather's photos. Not only is Carollo's project fascinating, but it also serves as a loving memorial of his grandfather's life. See the original photos and their recreations below.
