Pink Floyd’s Old Home Is For Sale. ‘The Wall’ In The Kitchen Is State Of The Art.
Pink Floyd fans, prepare yourselves - and your wallets. The house where the band used to live is for sale, and it's no longer the dwelling of a wild group of rockers. Instead, this posh London home is fit for the swankiest of residents - and it's got a healthy injection of rock history as well.
Many people don't know that the band lived together in this row house when they were just getting their start. In fact, it's said that the true sound of Pink Floyd was born here. That means that whenever you hear "Wish You Were Here," you have this glorious residence to thank.
In the sixties, Pink Floyd lived in a multi-million dollar, seven-bedroom home in north London.
Here's a shot of the interior before it was auctioned and renovated in 2012.
It was basically crumbling, and in serious need of some TLC.
Until 2012, no one had touched the building since the band lived there.
The property was sold following the death of the band's former college tutor, Mike Leonard.
There were lots of ancient rock-and-roll relics found on the property.
Eventually, the entire thing was refurbished.
