Hackers Broke Into PornHub’s Secret Database, Here’s What They Uncovered…

Whether or not you're an avid user, you've probably heard of PornHub. Even though it was only started 9 years ago, it's now the largest host of adult videos on the Internet. In fact, it's gotten so big that the company is aiming to shoot a film titled Sexploration, the first ever adult video to be made in space.

Yes, that's right. The adult industry is a lot bigger than most people think. Altogether Pornhub has about 60 million visitors a day.

Due to its popularity, the site is also a hotbed for cyber attackers. Just a few days ago, the site was hacked. With the recent leak of Ashley Madison users, it was a huge scare.

What did the hackers find? They discovered that PHP vulnerability exposed the database and allowed them permission for code execution on the site's servers. This means that hackers could delete information and help themselves to any that data they wanted via downloads. They could also expose its users. Fortunately, Pornhub users are safe.

Recently, a small team of hackers, which included Dario Weißer, computer science student Ruslan Habalov, and an individual that goes by the username cutz, discovered flaws on PornHub that would expose the user database and browsing habits.
