These Powerful Photographs Perfectly Capture The Wonder And Beauty Of Down Syndrome.
The inspiration for Sigga Ella's work came from the desire to answer a controversial question centered around reproductive rights: Do human beings get to decide who lives and who doesn't?
No matter which side of the fence you sit on these delicate issues, there is no denying that the photographs that Ella took to demonstrate her viewpoint are beautiful: Individuals with Down's syndrome, ranging in age from1-60. Ella chose to photograph them to show that "each of these individuals is a person like anyone else and should not be judged by one extra chromosome."
