Everywhere you look, odds are you'll find something, somewhere that represents the degradation of women. There's no single perpetrator of this phenomenon: Instead, it's just an insidious part of our culture, where TV commercials, magazines, and billboards are used to sell things by using women's bodies as the subject.
Luckily, there are also plenty of amazing initiatives fighting against it.
One such campaign is called #WomenNotObjects, and their recent campaign video sheds a powerful and oft-humorous light on the kinds of depictions of women we see in media. The video features women holding examples of degrading ads and calling out the absurd messages -- if you weren't already thinking about it, you will be now.
