Supportive Parents Standing With Their LGBT Kids This Pride Month.
June is the official month of PRIDE. It's a month celebrated by the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) community. Although pride month has been celebrated annually for many years, it recently became an even bigger celebration after same-sex marriage was finally legalized in all 50 states.
Coming out for the first time isn't easy. The possibility of rejection or disappointment is terrifying. Yet, many parents have been extremely understanding and supportive. So here's a post dedicated to those awesome parents who love their kids unconditionally and accept them for who they are!
#1. Love is love.
Parents can only hope that their child will one day find happiness and true love just like they did.
#2. Her mom wanted this shirt ever since she laid eyes on it.
She couldn't be anymore grateful of how supportive her mom is of her sexuality.
#3. Her dad got her a pride batman.
This has got to be one of the coolest and cutest forms of support ever.
#4. A lot of people are mistaken when they think that a person "chooses" their sexual orientation.
This parent understands that it's something that was pre-wired when the kid is born.
#5. Another proud mama holding up a sign that says how she feels.
We give you Frances Goldin from the 2016 NYC Pride Parade.
