Nikon Award Prize To Photoshopped Image, The Internet’s Response… Merciless.

Nikon Singapore recently held a contest to find the perfect shot, and a photographer named Chay Yu Wei took the prize. Wei managed to capture an incredible shot of an airplane, framed by a ladder in the city's Chinatown area. There was only one problem: Once Nikon awarded him the prize, commenters quickly pointed out that it was a fraud.

What happened next could only happen in 2016 on the internet, a place where the truth is always found and people have a great time laughing about it. Check out more of the story -- and the commenters' hilarious response to the fake image -- below.

Here's the photo that Wei submitted, and that Nikon Singapore awarded the prize.

The photo was reportedly shot with a Nikon D90, but upon closer inspection, a white box can be seen around the airplane.
