A Sad Letter To Santa Helped Reunite This Girl With Her Missing Blind Dog.
For seven-year-old Isla Kerr, this year was shaping up to be a pretty bad Christmas. Her three-year-old Boston terrier, Dolly, had recently disappeared, and the little girl was inconsolable. The dog, who is blind and requires medication, was last seen tied up outside a shop while mom and Isla went inside, only for a minute or two. When they came back, they realized he had been stolen.
Despite her grief, little Isla saw a ray of hope: After all, it's Christmas, and Santa just might be able to help. She told her mom that "Santa can do anything," and wrote him a heartfelt note, begging him to find Dolly. What happened next is absolutely amazing.
Here's Isla with her note, written specifically to Santa, asking him to help find Dolly.
Mom also put these around the neighborhood, in case any locals had seen Dolly around.
Five days later, Isla's mom got a call from a man who had found Dolly, alone and confused at a local park.
He immediately brought Dolly back, and once they confirmed it was definitely here, Isla was reunited with her beloved pet.
For little Isla, it really was a Christmas miracle.
“Isla didn’t get much sleep last night, she was so excited to have Dolly back. She wouldn’t let her go," mom said in an interview.
As it turns out, Santa really can do anything.
