‘You Are Loved, So Eat This Pizza.’ That Was Just One Of The Post-It Notes That Made Me Cry.
Rosa’s Fresh Pizza in Philadelphia is serving more than just a delicious pie but giving regular folks a chance to feed the less fortunate, one slice at a time.
The idea is simple yet profound: customers come into the shop, buy a slice for themselves and another for someone else, write a message on a Post-It note that is stuck on the walls of the restaurant; a homeless person takes the note off the wall and redeems it for a free slice. In the year and a half the restaurant has been open, it has served over 14,000 pre-paid slices. The shop proves people can make a huge difference with only a few dollars in their pocket.
Next, this artist uses pizzas as his canvas.
