Woman In Thailand Rescues Puppy While Running Marathon.
As it turns out, she ran the entire race, but it wasn't exactly easy.
"Running almost 20 miles carrying dog was truly a challenge. It was two times tiring than a normal marathon but I did it anyway just because he is adorable," explained Klongsanun. But at least the puppy got to rest along the way!
It seems like the puppy is more than happy with his new living arrangements.
"It might take a while for him to adapt himself. But Chombueng is a very smart boy. I'm sure he is going to be happy living with us," said Klongsanun.
Luckily, Klongsanun is doing everything she can for the puppy who found himself in the middle of a race.
"It took a lot of time to take the new dog for checkups, vaccinations, and treatments but I'm glad to save him and willing to have him with other dog members in the family," she explained.
Klongsanun could have dodged the dog like every other runner did, so why did she choose to pick it up?
"It seemed to me that this little guy was lost. There were no houses, no other dogs, or no people around. So, I picked up the puppy, if only to take him out of the unsafe environment," she said. Stopping a race to pick up a puppy! What an incredible thing to do!
Before Klongsanun completely claimed the puppy as her own, she tried to make sure that no one was looking for him.
Klongsanun returned to where she found him, but there was no one in sight. Finally, Klongsanun decided to keep the puppy as her own. She even gave him the name Nong Chom to make it official!
Klongsanun did a great deed that day when she picked up the puppy.
Now, Nong Chom has a safe, loving home far away from the dangerous steps of runners. He sure is one lucky pup!
