Whether it’s a family member, friend we know someone who has felt deep sadness. Sometimes that person may even be us. It can feel frustrating for the person who wishes to see that special someone smile again. Do you tell them a joke? Leave them alone? Or just wait till the dark cloud passes through.

John Saddington has written about his experience with depression on his blog. The San Francisco resident has created a 10-step plan to cheer someone up through cute and heartwarming illustrations. According to Saddington, it all begins with rolling the person in a blanket and roll them like a sushi.

Everyone needs someone to make them into a sushi roll every once in a while. We just have to make sure we keep a cozy blanket on stand-by.
