This Artist Is Using Salt To Shape The Most Insane Portraits You’ll Ever See.
Some artists do not turn to a cloth canvas with oil and acrylic paints to create amazing works. Artist Rob Ferrel aka Rob The Original is always looking for ways to evolve his creativity. His work can be found in unusual places like hair, wood brushes, pizzas, and now salt.
Based in San Antonio, Texas, Ferrel uses table salt to create detailed portraits of athletes and pop culture icons like LeBron James, Snoop Dogg, and Michael Jackson. Ferrel may come off highly unconventional but the reality is, he sees art everywhere. The 30-year-old uses paint brushes, and credit cards as tools to complete his crafts.
The most unfortunate thing about his final product is that once he’s done, Ferrel simply wipes the table clean. The only proof of his amazing talent is the photos he takes. He uploads them on his Instagram account for all of us to enjoy.
