This Guy Saves A Mouse And A Lizard. Watch The Way They Say ‘Thanks'.
A friend in need is a friend indeed.
Even if it's a stranger that urgently needs your help, if you come to their rescue, a beautiful friendship will most likely blossom. And it's these type of friendships that last the longest. Just ask Levi DeWitt, who was volunteering in Bolivia when she suddenly spotted someone in need.
Levi was at the right place at the right time when she noticed a mouse and lizard were drowning in a swimming pool. Although these three may make an unlikely trio, it's two new friends that Levi will probably never forget.
"The pool was partially drained and the water level was well below the cement slide where they could have escaped," said DeWitt.
Levi had to think fast when he saw the two. He immediately grabbed a nearby branch to use as something both the lizard and mouse could hop onto. As soon as the two got on, he pulled the pair into safety.
Moments after the rescue, the mouse and lizard sat in shock. Levi assumed they would run off soon after they dried themselves off but neither of them did.
"I left them alone for a minute to see if they'd run off, but they didn't, so I got closer and tried petting them," DeWitt said. "Then they hopped onto my hand and ran up and down my arms for a bit."
Many animals would have ran away in this situation but these two stayed. You can say it was their own token of appreciation to the man who was their hero.
