This Mysterious Structure Isn’t What It Appears To Be… And It’s A Marvel.

No, it's not a scene from your wildest childhood fantasy: It's the Sky Walk, a giant looping slide in the mountains of Czech Republic. Designed by Fránek Architects, the 101-meter slide sits perched at the top of a steep incline, 1,116 meters about sea level.

It's impressive to look at -- and it also reminds us of something we would have loved to play on when we were kids. And, if you ever get the chance to visit the Czech Republic, you can make those childhood dreams come true.

"It is rare to use timber on a construction of this magnitude," said studio founder Zdeněk Fránek said in an interview. "It also creates a new kind of experience where people better realize how small they are in the bosom of nature."

Check out the images of the spectacular Sky Walk below.

Here it is, in all of its glory. It resembles a wooden waterslide, and it's 101 meters tall.

The design is also a bit conceptual: "There are constructions of a similar size but ours takes on an abstract form that suggests the flight of a nocturnal butterfly whose path is seemingly chaotic, " Fránek said.
