It’s Lunch Time For This Baby Squirrel And The Best Minute Of My Day!

In this short video, Alicia DeMay, clinical director at City Wildlife, is feeding a baby squirrel who was brought to the Northwest DC Animal Rescue Center at the end of last March. This sweet little baby will be fed and cared for, and eventually be released back into the wild. It’s so cute.

It's common around spring time for baby squirrels and other animals to fall from their nests or through other circumstances become separated from their parents. Be very careful and make sure the animal has definitely been abandoned by the mother before picking it up. And if you aren't able to properly care for it, find someone or a shelter who can.
