These People Look Like Identical Twins, But They’ve Literally Just Met.

They say somewhere out there in the world there's someone who looks very much like you. According to Michael Sheehan, professor of neurobiology and behavior at Cornell University, "There is only so much genetic diversity to go around. If you shuffle that deck of cards so many times, at some point, you get the same hand dealt to you twice."

So of course if you were to meet your doppelgänger in person, you'd definitely want to document it. Imagine meeting a stranger who has completely different genes from you but still somehow looks just like you. Of course, you gotta take some photos!

Check out the photos below of people who got to meet their doppelgängers.

#1. It's already hard to find your friends at a music festival, let alone your doppelgänger.

Bonus: They did a face-swap of the photo and both photos look completely normal.

#2. When you get stationed in Okinawa and shortly afterwards find out that your twin has joined the same unit.

Their faces just look SO similar!

#3. When you find yourself working with your body double.

If I were them, I would trick everyone and pretend we were actual twins.

#4. It's not often that you randomly cross paths with your duplicate at the mall.

And when opportunities like this rise, you have to take a photo!

#5. When you move into a new neighborhood and your neighbors keep greeting you as if they already know you.

And then you find out that it's because your double was already living there.
