15 Of The Strangest Homes In The World.

This home takes out-of-this-world to a whole new level.

The owners of this home, located in Inverloch, Australia, wanted something that would give them a view of the water on all sides and they wanted the home to be in sync with the nature surrounding it. So architect James Stockwell designed them this home that hovers over the ground, just like a spacecraft would. Not only does it look futuristic, but its overall footprint on the Earth is much smaller than most homes.

You'd have to be a pretty open person to live in this house.

This transparent house in Tokyo, Japan, also known as the House NA, was designed to mimic the way our ancient ancestors lived in the trees.

Even though the house doesn't exactly look like a tree, the designers, Sou Fujimoto Architects, created the rooms to look like the branches of a tree.

Going from room to room is kind of like swinging from branch to branch. Tarzan would be proud, that's for sure.

Move over, Frodo. This house next doesn't belong to you.

This house is straight from the pages of a Tolkien novel.

In 2003, Simon Dale wanted to move himself, and his family, into a low impact living house. And as a huge fan of the Lord of The Rings franchise, he knew exactly what he wanted to do.
