Too much of a good thing is bad and sugar is no exception. Yes, who doesn’t love a couple bites from a scrumptious red velvet cupcake or a delicious fruity drink? Unfortunately, to get these treats to taste this delicious, a lot and we mean a lot of sugar goes into making them.

One may think that as long as you are eating your fruits and vegetables you can afford to have a donut or two. It is tempting during a long work day where you need an instant pick me up to reach for something sweet. Yet this energy boost is fast and fleeting, it’s better to drink water or have a fruit, instead.

If you have a sweet tooth it can feel like an impossible task to have to give up a favourite soda. Nonetheless, consuming too much sugar will negatively impact your overall health. You will be surprised at the damage you are doing to yourself for a couple of minutes of food pleasure.
