This 104-Year-Old Grandma Has Been Misbehaving In The Best Way Possible.
Grace Brett is a lovely 104-year-old woman with a sunny disposition and a great smile. She's also Scotland's oldest guerrilla knitters.
So what is a guerrilla knitter, exactly? It means that along with a team of other knitters, Brett travels around to different landmarks, leaving knitting installations behind. She calls it "yarn bombing," and the work is simply delightful. Learn more about her story below.
This is Grace. She has a few yarns to spin - both figuratively and literally.
She's also a guerrilla knitter, part of a group called the Souter Stormers.
Over the years, she's decorated over 40 different landmarks.
Brett has six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, all of whom support her work.
And the community does as well: Her knitting landmarks have spanned from telephone booths to statues around town.
Are there any places in your town that could benefit from a little yarn bombing?
Next, yarn bombing in Canada.
