18 Thanksgiving Cooking Hacks To Save The Day. #10 Is Golden.
There’s so much to do to prepare for the big Thanksgiving meal. Here’s some tips to make it a little easier.
#1. No roasting rack? No problem.
Elevate the turkey on a layer of quartered onions, carrots and celery. Bonus: They will add flavor to your drippings.
#2. Want fluffier mashed potatoes?
Add a little baking powder to make mashed potatoes extra fluffy.
#3. Not enough space in the fridge? No problem.
Fill a cooler with ice packs and your lesser-used condiments. Voila! You have a whole free shelf.
#4. Let your dishwasher scrub the potatoes for you.
Use the quick rinse cycle and don't use soap! You can do this with other vegetables too.
#5. Keep the mashed potatoes in a slow cooker.
There's nothing worse than cold mashed potatoes. Set the temperature on low and stir every hour. This will give you an extra burner for other dishes.
#6. Print or write out recipes and tape them to your cabinets for easy access.
