Look At How These Architects Turned This Tiny, Barren Place Into A Dream Home.
It’s no surprise that New York has some very tiny apartments and lofts (which can be quite expensive, too). Even if your space is small though, doesn’t mean it can’t be a welcoming place to live.
Just have a look at what the architects at Specht Harpman did with this 425 square-foot loft on the Upper West Side. It’s completely amazing to see how much can be done with so little!
Here is what the space looked like before. It’s located at the top of a 6-story brownstone, and offers 25 feet of vertical space to work with. It also includes roof access. You can see the bare rugged walls, and weathered paint.
Not very pretty…
The solution the architects came up with was to create a multi-tiered living space, which helped make the rooms feel more open.
Stunning! You can see how all the rooms ‘flow’ together.
