These Travel Photos Say Something About Depression That We Should All Think About.

For many people, the tricky thing about suffering from depression is that you have to explain your pain to people while never really looking sick. Others have to contend with the false notion that depressed people "act" like they're sick - never leaving their beds, watching Netflix endlessly, and crying all day long.

The truth is that depression manifests itself in different ways in different people, which it is why it's so difficult to tell who suffers from it and who doesn't. Sure, some show signs. Others go about their day to day lives, going to work and taking care of children and hanging out with friends, all while trying to battle the negativity and sadness that lives inside of them. One man, Michael Loffler, battled his depression while doing something that most assume you only do when you're happy: He traveled around the world. His images and message have received some criticism (how can you be depressed if you travel, you obviously have time and money!)

I personally think the photos send a powerful message: No matter where you go, it might be possible to take depression with you.
