It Looks Like An Ordinary Painting, But When You Turn Off The Lights… WOW.
Keti Sidamonidze had a vision, she wanted her bedroom wall to become a beautiful mural featuring a cat. Sidamonidze saw a wall painting in 2012 and wanted something similar for her own room. The only problem is that the Georgian does not have the talent to make her vision a reality.
Instead, Sidamonidze turned to artist Giorgi Makkharasvili. Based in the Netherlands, Makkarashvili took his client’s concept further. He not only created the mural she dreamed of but made sure what you saw during the day looked different at night. The artist used ultraviolet paint that brought a bigger feline to life in the dark.
The contrast of white light and black light.
Giorgi Makharashvili loves the endless opportunity art provides.
Makarashvili was born in Tbilisi, Georgia, but moved to the Netherlands in 2014.
The artist worked both during the day and night.
A tiger emerges at night.
Barely able to see the large feline during the day.
