Awesome Wheelchairs Are Making Dogs Forget About Disability.

There are a lot of veterinarians around the world that run all kinds of animal hospitals. Many of them have an area that they focus on so they can offer the best of care to your pets. However in Romania, there is an animal hospital that takes things to the extreme, but in a good way.

The hospital, Adapostul Speranta, takes in stray dogs off of the street and gives them a home for life. That in itself is a great thing but they even take it one step further. They supply any injured dogs with a wheelchair if their legs don’t work.

The hospital works hard to give every dog the life that they deserve and they have stated "At Speranța, we insist not to leave any dog behind. (We) absolutely refuse to end a life that, with proper care, can be a happy one. They run ... they enjoy the sun and the grass, sometimes they even race, with their funny wheels."

The hospital is a partner of Four Paws International and Florina Tomescu, who is the President of Fundatia Speranta, (the company that operates the hospital) said “All the dogs stay with us for their whole lives. All dogs have a story behind them. Most of the time, it's sad." Right now they are looking for donations to replace some carts that have broken. You can make a donation here if you’d like to help them out.

Many of the dogs meet for the first time at the hospital. What they get are friends for life, both human and other dogs.

The dogs are given a new life with the use of the wheelchairs. Here a pooch has a determined look on his face to reach his destination.

It's a parade of happy dogs on this street in Romania!

Adapostul Speranta gives the dogs shelter for the rest of their lives.

The hospital won't put any dog down. They believe that with proper care every dog can live a full and happy life.
