Photographer Conquers His Fear Of Heights To Capture The Rarest Wedding Photos Ever Taken.
People are always trying to get more creative with their wedding photos: Some of them use props, others find wacky environments to take their snaps. However, no couple has gotten as extreme as Endijs and Elina, the happy couple who had their wedding photos taken on the top of Yosemite's Half Dome.
Their photographer Brian Rueb is a friend, and he had to conquer the dome as well. So, how did they do it? And more specifically, how did she do it in that dress? Check out the photos and the rest of their story below.
The couple are both outdoor enthusiasts, but Rueb is afraid of heights. When he agreed to shoot their wedding, he had no idea what he was getting into.
This is what the most grueling portion of the Half Dome looks like from the bottom. The whole thing is an 8.2 mile climb at 4,500 foot elevation.
In order to scale the Half Dome successfully, the couple had to vacuum pack their wedding attire, plus pack water and food for the day. Naturally, they packed champagne as well.
For Rueb, photographing them was a challenge. He wanted to give up, but the desire to capture his friends on their special day outweighed his fear.
