You Read This Famous Poem In High School, But You’ve Never Seen It Like THIS.
There are things people do in relationships that warrant their partners to leave but for whatever reason, these bonds remain strong. Whether it’s personality quirks one can live with or mistakes made that couples can move past; there is a lot to be said for doing things out of love. With maturity comes understanding of our wrongdoings and our goal to make amends. Unfortunately, for an American widow, the chance to let her husband know what he meant to her never came.
A woman was going through her mother’s things after she passed away and found something beautiful. Among papers, she found a poem her mom had written to her dad entitled, “But You Didn’t.” Her father died in Vietnam when she was only four-years-old.
British artist Ajit Johnson illustrated his own version of the poem.
The best lesson from this unknown woman’s poem is to never stop loving and showing love to the most important people in our lives.
