Almost 98 years ago, President Woodrow Wilson signed the Organic Act of 1916. This established the National Park System which was created to protect the scenery and wildlife, and preserve them for the enjoyment of future generations.

Each one of America’s 59 national parks is worthy of preservation and a visit (or two). Here’s a collection of stunning views taken from 30 of them.

I've only been to 12 of the 49 national parks. I would love to visit them all. So many places, so little time... If you enjoyed looking at these photos, share them with your friends. Who knows, maybe one of them is planning a trip this summer.
