The debate whether or not eggs are healthy for you keeps bouncing back and forth. Not too long ago, doctors recommended you stick to eating just the egg whites if you needed a fix. But as we all know, the good, yummy stuff is in the yolk. Plus the nutritional power comes from the yolk like the vitamins, folate, and iron.
John Berardi, PhD.-trained nutritional biochemist and a full-time nutrition coach says that unless you are a diabetic or suffer from a rare genetic disorder, you don't be afraid of eating eggs, or as he calls it have, "egg paranoia." In fact, Berardi points to control trials where folks on a diet had to eat up to three eggs a day found that the subjects "lost weight, decreased inflammation, and either maintained or improved their blood cholesterol levels."
