First, Kelsey moved the dresser outdoors and took out all of the drawers.

When it comes to a good DIY project, sometimes all it takes is finding someone who has a vision and knows exactly what to do. When her friend asked for help upcycling her old dresser, blogger Kelsey knew, without a doubt, how to proceed.

Together, they created this awesome DIY dresser. It not only looks great, but also appears to be simple enough to replicate - even for those of us who don't have a crafty bone in our bodies. Check out their cool project below. You're not going to believe their incredible results.

Next, she removed all the hardware from the drawers for easier painting.

Together with her friend, they painted the dresser a gorgeous shade of gray.

Then, they draped each drawer with a piece of old lace. Can you guess what they'll do next?

As it turns out, her friend's favorite color combo is pink and gray. Naturally, they sprayed the top of the lace-covered drawers with a baby pink paint. They used two coats of paint in this step.

When the paint completely dried, they peeled off the lace to see the results.

The intricate pattern of the fabric was left behind, creating an awesome effect.

When all the drawers were done, it was time to refasten the hardware.

The old hardware was boring, but instead of buying all new fixtures, they simply painted the old hardware in metallic.

By the time they were finished, you cant' even tell that this is the same dresser they started with.

The lace stencil gives it such a great finish, and would look great in an ultra-feminine bedroom.
