IBM has partnered with an organization called Guiding Eyes for the Blind, and what they've collaborated on and produced together is absolutely amazing.
Using a system that collects medical, behavioral and developmental data on dogs, IBM is documenting how guide dogs for the blind are trained: What their habits are, what they're taught, and how they make progress. The most mind-blowing part? It's all documented through the eyes of the dog himself.
In the film below, Jackson goes from being a regular puppy to one that is retrieving specialized training to guide the blind. Apart from one moment at the beginning when you see Jackson as a newborn, all of the footage is filmed from Jackson's eye view. What happens at the end will bring a tear to your eye -- and make you realize just how incredible modern technology has actually become.
