Most of the time, pizza looks pretty much the same: A round crust (the perfect combination of crunchy and chewy), a garlicky red sauce, a few handful of cheese, and toppings to suit whatever mood you're in that day. The final result is a glorious wedding of all the best tastes and textures, delivered to your front door.
But what if after the delivery man was gone, you opened the box to find one of these?
Instead of simply arranging pepperonis in artful concentric circles, Glasgow-based Italian pizza chef Domenico Crolla creates "pizza art." By sculpting the cheese on his pizzas before cooking, Crolla creates pizza-portraits of famous celebrities, including Marilyn Monroe, Mark Zuckerberg, Kim Kardashian, and Robin Williams.
Crollos pizzas are a beautiful feat of artistry and pizza-craftsmanship, and they almost look too good to eat. Almost.
